Today, We are loading rotary bauxite 58# in our plant. The bauxite will be shipping to Turkey client soon from Xingang port China.
Calcined Bauxite is obtained by calcining (heating) superior grade Bauxite at high temperature (from 850 to 1600 degree Celsius). This removes moisture thereby increasing the alumina content. Compared to an alumina content of about 57 % to 58 % in raw Bauxite, Calcined Bauxite has an alumina content of 82 % to 86 %. The heating is carried out in rotary kilns. Calcination is done at different temperatures ranging from 850 ℃ to 1600 ℃ depending upon the customer s application.
Calcined bauxite has traditionally been the most commonly used aggregate material used for High Friction Surfacing.The inherent nature of Calcined Bauxite resists shear stresses that lead to polishing of the road surface. Its hardness is also beneficial in internal and external industrial flooring applications where a very hard and long lasting mineral is required to give high-friction, anti-slip performance.Calcined Bauxite has been found to exhibit characteristics far superior to alternative road surface aggregates.
