Ceramic foundry sand, also known as fused ceramsite, ceramsite sand, jewelry sand, scientific name fused ceramic sand which is made from high-quality bauxite through calcination, electrofusion, granulation, sieving and other processes. It is an environmentally friendly sand for green casting which can be widly used in casting, molding, polishing and painting.

Application


1. Steel casting/ Metal casting

Ceramic foundry sand is s green casting sand. It has been widely used in steel casting in recent years.

Because of its many advantages above, it can be made into steel molds to produce precision steel castings, and can also be used to produce automobile castings such as cylinder block, cylinder head and exhaust pipe.


2.Lost foam casting and investment casting process as filling sand

It also can be used in lost foam casting and investment casting which can promote the quality of castings, decrease the cost and make a good environment.


3.Polishing and painting

Ceramsite used in polishing because of its good fluidity, smooth surface and dense structure. It can make minimal damage to the surface of polished workpieces. In addition, foundry sand is synthesized from high-quality bauxite by high-temperature sintering, and has considerable hardness and is not easy to crack. After polishing, it can also be recycled. 


4.3D printing process

Foundry Sand Flour can be graded to a single mesh distributed form, it is rather suitable in 3D printing processes. Many parts of complicated castings have been produced by 3D with approving quality in a very short period.
