Introduction
Ceramic foundry sand, also known as fused ceramsite, ceramsite sand, scientific name fused ceramic sand which is made from high-quality bauxite through calcination, electrofusion, granulation, sieving and other processes. It is an environmentally friendly sand for green casting which can be widly used in casting, molding, polishing and painting.
Physical Performance
Particle shape | Ball | Expansion coefficient | (20-1000℃) 6*10-6/℃ |
Color | Dark Brown | Particle size | 6-320mesh (0.053-3.36μm) |
Refractoriness | ≥1800℃ | Al2O3 | 65-80% |
Bulk gravity | 1.95-2.05 g/cm3 | SiO2 | 10-20% |
Density | 3.4 g/cm3 | TiO2 | ≤3.5% |
Thermal conductivity | (1200℃)5.27W/M·K | PH | 7-8 |
Application for polishing
Ceramsite used in polishing because of its good fluidity, smooth surface and dense structure. It can make minimal damage to the surface of polished workpieces. In addition, ceramic sand is synthesized from high-quality bauxite by high-temperature sintering, and has considerable hardness and is not easy to crack. After polishing, it can also be recycled. It is really a good material for polishing.
Features
· High refractoriness.
· Spherical shape.
· Low thermal expansion rate.
· Inert chemical performance.
· Intrinsic hardness and wear resistance.
· Good thermal conductivity.
