| Main Sizes | S170, S230, S280, S330, S390, S460 |
| Other Names | Double tempered steel shot, low breakage cast steel shot |
| Main Use | General shot blasting, precision cleaning, automotive parts and thin plate pre-treatment |
| Manufacturer of Material | SEPPE TECHNOLOGIES |
• A long-life steel shot for customers who care more about low breakage, low dust and stable surface finish than maximum cutting force.
• Moderate hardness helps protect workpieces while maintaining efficient cleaning performance.
• Suitable for repeated recycling in enclosed shot blasting equipment.
• Ultra high toughness: Double tempering helps release internal stress and improve fatigue resistance.
• Low dust: Reduced breakage helps lower dust generation and abrasive consumption.
• Workpiece protection: Moderate hardness helps reduce dents on thin plates and precision parts.
• Stable surface: Supports fine and uniform roughness for coating adhesion and matte finishing.

![]() | Automotive Components ▸ Used for gears, springs, chassis parts and stamping parts in automotive production. ▸ Double tempering supports lower breakage and more stable peening performance. ▸ Suitable for repeated recycling where low dust and consistent surface results are required. |
![]() | Thin Plate Cleaning ▸ Used for thin steel sheets and lighter metal panels where lower impact damage is required. ▸ Moderate hardness helps reduce dents while maintaining efficient surface cleaning. ▸ Suitable for preparation before painting, coating or assembly. |
![]() | Precision Castings ▸ Used for precision castings, small cast parts, valve bodies and mechanical components. ▸ Removes sand, oxide and light burrs while supporting uniform surface control. ▸ Lower breakage helps reduce dust and protects delicate casting details. |
![]() | High-end Coating Pre-treatment ▸ Creates a fine and stable matte surface before painting, powder coating or finishing. ▸ Useful for customers who value surface consistency and lower abrasive consumption. ▸ Suitable for continuous blasting lines with strict dust and surface quality control. |
• Use fine sizes for thin plates and precision parts.
• Use S280-S390 for general continuous blasting and steel structures.
• Select this grade when lower consumption and dust control are more important than strong cutting speed.
• Selected steel raw material - induction furnace melting - atomization - drying - screening - heat treatment - final screening - packaging.

• Common packaging includes 25 kg bags, 1000 kg jumbo bags, palletized bags and customized export packaging. Bag marks and pallet protection can be arranged according to purchase requirements.
• Palletized small bags are available for easier forklift handling, warehouse stacking and container loading.
• Loading photos, batch labels and inspection records are available to support shipment traceability.
• Double tempered shot focuses on toughness, low breakage and longer life. Double quenched shot focuses on higher hardness and stronger cleaning force.
• Yes. Its toughness and stable roundness make it suitable for automotive and mechanical shot peening applications.
• It can reduce dust, breakage and abrasive consumption in repeated recycling systems.
• Lower breakage and less fine powder can help reduce wear on blast wheels, liners and dust collection systems.
• Customers running continuous blasting lines, automotive parts, sheet metal and precision workpieces often prefer this grade.
