SEPPE GARNET
25132000
Introduction
SEPPE Garnet is an integrated garnet mining, processing, shipping and distribution organisation providing the best quality industrial garnet for the surface preparation and waterjet cutting industries. Garnet as a natural abrasive can be used for waterjet cutting because of its high hardness, high cutting speed. It is a cost-effective alternative to silica sand, mineral slags and steel grits and shot as the perfect symbiosis of grain size, density and hardness/durability creates the optimum abrasive efficiency, lowest abrasive consumption (kg/m2) at the highest production rates (m2/hr).
Chemicals Composition & Physical Property
Chemical Composition | |
Al2O3 | 17-25% |
SiO2 | 34-40% |
FeO+Fe2O3 | 28-31% |
MgO | 5-8% |
MnO | 0-1% |
TiO2 | 0-1% |
CaO | 1-2% |
Physical Property | |
Bulk Density | 2.1-2.4g/cm3 |
Specific Gravity | 4.0-4.2g/cm3 |
Hardness | 7.5-8.0 Mohs |
Common Size | 80, 100, 120 mesh |
Garnet 80 mesh for waterjet cutting
SEPPE Waterjet Cutting Garnet is extensively used in waterjet cutting machines around the world. The highest purity garnet and highly accurate sizing of grains are produced using the world best processing methods. Each batch of goods has passed strict QC testing and particle size analysis. This ensures that there are less dust and no big ineffective grains that can restrict garnet free flow, because oversized grains may create a blockage in the focusing tube.
A steady flow of garnet abrasives to the focusing tube that is free from blockages allows uninterrupted production without downtime resulting in optimum efficiency and lowest production costs.
High quality alluvial garnet does not contain any fracture lines that weaken the inherent garnet grain crushed. Especially in equipment wear and tear, the damage of cutting head nozzle and focusing tube are also reduced. This translates to direct cost-savings and longer service life.
