SEPPE CERAMSITE
Introduction
Mullite Ceramsite, is a high-grade casting sands made from high-quality bauxite, which has been produced by pelletizing and calcination. It is characterized by low expansion coefficient, high refractoriness, good thermal and chemical stability. Due to its excellent fluidity and filling ability, it's widely used in foundry. In addition, it has good reproducibility and can be reused many times.
The Mullite Ceramsite, sintered at high temperature (1600℃), is an artificial foundry sand with extremely stable structure. It is made by firing spherical granules, having very good angle coefficient and grain shape.
Advantages:
-Large grain size, enabling sieving.
-Good collapsibility.
-High air permeability.
-High refractoriness.(1800℃)
-High resistance to crush.
-Little thermal expansion.
-Excellent in fluidity and filling effciency owing to being spherical.
