SEPPE Steel Wire Cut Shot is manufactured from high-carbon steel wire through precision cutting, deburring, heat treatment and accurate grading. Its short cylindrical particle shape and continuous fiber metallic structure give excellent impact resistance, low fragmentation and balanced impact-plus-cutting performance.
| Product | High carbon steel wire cut shot |
| Main Sizes | 0.8 mm, 1.0 mm, 1.2 mm, 1.5 mm, 2.0 mm, 2.5 mm, 3.0 mm |
| Other Names | Cut wire shot, conditioned cut wire shot, wire abrasive |
| Main Use | Heavy rust removal, old coating removal, shot peening and heavy casting cleaning |
| Manufacturer of Material | SEPPE TECHNOLOGIES |
• A steel abrasive between round steel shot and angular steel grit, combining impact force with moderate cutting action.
• The fiber structure avoids casting porosity and helps reduce fragmentation during repeated blasting.
• Suitable for harsh working conditions, heavy workpieces and surfaces requiring both cleaning force and durability.
• Fiber structure: Continuous wire structure helps reduce cracking and abnormal breakage.
• Dual cleaning action: Short cylindrical particles provide both impact and cutting performance.
• High recyclability: Low fragmentation supports repeated recycling and stable blasting performance.
• Heavy-duty suitability: Works well on rusty steel structures, heavy castings and used steel refurbishment.

![]() | Construction & Mining Machinery ▸ Used for excavator buckets, track shoes, wear plates and heavy machinery components. ▸ The cut wire shape gives both impact and moderate cutting action for rugged workpieces. ▸ Suitable for repeated blasting where low fragmentation and durability are important. |
![]() | Ship Repair & Steel Renovation ▸ Used for old coating removal and severe corrosion cleaning on hull plates and storage tanks. ▸ Provides stronger surface action than round shot while remaining less sharp than steel grit. ▸ Suitable for renovation projects involving thick steel and aged protective coatings. |
![]() | Automotive Forgings & Springs ▸ Used for scale removal and stress release on forgings, springs, chains and shafts. ▸ Conditioned cut wire shot supports shot peening and strengthening applications. ▸ Low fragmentation helps maintain stable blasting performance in automotive production. |
![]() | Heavy Foundry Cleaning ▸ Used for shakeout, sprue cleaning and descaling of large cast steel parts. ▸ Cylindrical particles provide impact plus cutting action on rough foundry surfaces. ▸ Suitable for heavy casting cleaning where durability and cleaning force are both required. |
• Use 0.8-1.2 mm for thin sheets and precision parts.
• Use 1.2-1.5 mm for general steel and automotive component production.
• Use 2.0-3.0 mm for thick plates, severe corrosion and heavy rust removal.
• High carbon steel wire - precision cutting - edge conditioning / deburring - quenching and tempering - grading - inspection - packaging.
• Common packaging includes 25 kg bags, 1000 kg jumbo bags, palletized bags and customized export packaging. Bag marks and pallet protection can be arranged according to purchase requirements.
• Palletized small bags are available for easier forklift handling, warehouse stacking and container loading.
• Loading photos, batch labels and inspection records are available to support shipment traceability.
• Wire cut shot has a fiber metallic structure and cylindrical shape, giving lower fragmentation and stronger cutting than round cast shot.
• It sits between the two: more cutting than round shot, but less angular and less aggressive than sharp grit.
• Yes. Conditioned cut wire shot is commonly used for shot peening and strengthening applications.
• 2.0-3.0 mm is usually selected for thick plates, severe corrosion and heavy refurbishment.
• Its wire structure helps reduce fragmentation, so dust generation is usually lower than unstable cast abrasive under repeated impact.
