Introduction
Calcined bauxite is considered as one of the major ore of aluminum. Offered calcined bauxite powder is formed by calcining (heating) top grade bauxite at excessive temperature which ranges between 850oC to 1600oC. As moisture gets eliminated therefore, it increases the alumina content. Furthermore, calcined bauxite consists of 84% to 88% of alumina, as equated to 57% to 58% in raw bauxite. The entire operation is executed with help of rotary kilns.
Calcined bauxite for welding flux
High-strength bauxite is one of the main raw materials in the flux industry.
The bauxite is calcined at high temperature and baked at low temperature, which ensures the refractoriness and toughness of the product. The bauxite is strictly checked before processing to remove inferior and impurity. The product has the advantages of high alumina content and low sulfur and phosphorus content.
Flux grade bauxite powder is mainly selected after calcination corresponding content of granular bauxite grinding screening, removal of impurities, the formation of the corresponding content and particle size requirements of fine powder.
The alumina content of welding machine bauxite powder is generally about 85-87%. The flux made of calcined bauxite powder has the characteristics of long life and not easy to age.
