Introduction
White Fused Alumina (WFA) is an electro‑fused artificial corundum produced from high‑purity Bayer‑processed alumina in an electric arc furnace at 2,050°C. It is white in color, dense in structure, and consists mainly of large alpha‑alumina crystals. With high hardness (Mohs 9), excellent self‑sharpening ability, and strict control of particle shape and size distribution, White Corundum is specifically designed for grinding wheel manufacturing — including resinoid wheels, vitrified wheels, cut‑off wheels, and sharpening stones. Its high purity and thermal stability also make it suitable for refractory applications, but this grade is optimized for bonded abrasives.
